It is always a painful moment for any parent on this planet moving their children to college. Such scenes are briefly essayed in films which left many with teary eyes. Imagine how hard it would be in actual and so with the case of Barack Obama. On David Letterman’s new series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Barack Obama talked about Malia going to Harvard last summer.
He described how each of his family helped Malia to move-in Harvard whereas he did nothing to help her packing stuff or anything else. We analyze that he was nervous and sad but happy for her future but Obama described himself using the term- Use-less. He was quoted as saying, “I was basically useless. Everyone had seen me crying and misting up for basically the previous three weeks, so Malia, who’s very thoughtful, she goes, ‘Dad, you know, I’ve got this lamp in this box, could you put the desk lamp together?’ I said, ‘Sure.’ It should have taken five minutes or three minutes, and it had one of those little tools. It only had, like, four parts, and I’m just sitting there, toiling at this thing for half an hour.”
See below in picture how exactly Barack Obama narrated the incident:
In one of the public appearance, talking about his hard time while seeing-off Malia, Obama said that “I was proud that I did not cry in front of her,” he said. “But on the way back, the Secret Service was off looking straight ahead, pretending they weren’t hearing me as I sniffled and blew my nose. It was rough.”
He also went up on saying that knowing how pathetic he was at those moments, his daughter Malia texted him hearts. (The below screenshot is fake. It is posted just to portray how the actual message Malia would have sent to Barack Obama.) Obama also admitted that his 19-year-old daughter text him every day and her text includes lots of heart emoji in it which would surely make Obama go ‘awww.!’
Well we wish all the best to Malia for her brighter future. May she pass-out with flying colors and make her parents proud of her. Have you ever see-off any close one that left you teary?
